I’d love to know how many lives have been saved by life vests in crashes on planes flying 50 nautical miles away from shore. Very few I would think.

It’s not all about profit hungry greedy heads of industry who don’t care about the safety of their passengers, it’s just common sense. Just think how much safer you’d feel if there were 2 award winning chief surgeons on every flight. You can’t expect the company to implement it.
